Payroll Harbour Privacy Notice
This notice covers website enquiries and the Payroll Harbour service operated by Carter Collins & Myer Ltd.
Who to contact
Write to Carter Collins & Myer Ltd, Chichester House, 2 Chichester Street, Rochdale OL16 2AX, or email payroll@uk-ccm.com.
Enquiries and practice administration
We use enquiry contact details, correspondence and relevant business information to respond, prepare quotations, manage engagements, collect fees and handle service questions. Depending on the purpose, the lawful basis may be steps towards or performance of a contract, legal obligations or legitimate interests in running the service and protecting legal rights.
Employee payroll information
Payroll can involve identity and contact information, National Insurance numbers, pay, tax, bank, pension and absence information. Roles and responsibilities for employer data are documented in the engagement and data processing terms. Where we act as a processor, we process on documented instructions; where we have independent legal or professional duties, we explain our controller responsibilities. Health or other special-category information requires an additional lawful condition where applicable.
Sharing and security
Information is shared only where needed for the agreed service, including authorised contacts, HMRC, pension providers and relevant service suppliers. We use password-protected email documents and agreed handling arrangements. Access and transfer safeguards, relevant suppliers and data processing terms are confirmed through the engagement. Do not send employee records through the initial enquiry form.
Retention
We retain information according to its purpose, contractual requirements, legal duties and the need to establish or defend claims. Payroll data return, deletion and any continued retention are addressed in the engagement and data processing terms. Contact us for the arrangements applicable to your service.
This website
The enquiry form prepares an email locally in your email application. It is not sent to us until you send the email. This website adds no advertising or analytics scripts and does not use optional tracking cookies. Hosting services process technical information, including request logs and IP addresses, to deliver and protect the website.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, data protection rights include access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability and objection. Some rights are limited where lawful retention is necessary. Where we act as a processor, an employee request may need to go to the employer. Contact us with a concern; you may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
